LIVE LOVE
My wife and I, along with Reverend Dave Guinn, took 11 of our student leaders to the LIVE LOVE Conference with Francis Chan (or "Jackie Chan" as Elena called him all weekend) and Kristian Stanfill. It was truly an amazing time of worship and teaching. We almost got a free couch out of it as well...but it was wet.
Pastor Mark Has Been Kidnapped!
The students of Re:Generation Student Ministry are getting desperate. They're really worried about raising enough money for camp, and they've resorted to terrible methods. Pastor Mark is currently being held in an undisclosed location. If you want to see him ever again...it's time to donate!
For details...see video below!
The Re:Generation Car Wash
The Car Wash fundraiser was a great success! We washed over 100 cars in 5 hours and made about $1,000 total! Between the hours of 8 and 1 we didn't have one minute without a car to wash, and our students were knocking it out of the park (despite some crabby customers!) Thanks to all who participated and to all of the Adult Leaders who helped make the Car Wash a huge win for Re:Generation!
* The Bonfire * January 30th in The Oak Grove @ Sheridan Hills
The Bonfire was awesome! There's nothing like poking small food with sticks and sticking it in a fire until it's burnt to a crisp. But, we all know what the highlight of the evening was: Jason Straussman agreed to cut off his 'fro if we got at least 70 people at the bonfire. We had over 90 people! You can check out "The Undignifying of Jason Straussman" over on the Videos and Stuff page. It was awesome!
And thanks to Joey for setting up the fire!

Re:Generation Christmas Party: Dec. 13th @ the Horsley Home
(FREE)
What a Christmas Party! Last year, we had about 8-12 kids show up...this year we had 40 students at the Horsley Home! We have so many memories from Re:Generation Christmas Party 2008
1.) There were pizza rolls...you know how Pastor Kevin likes pizza rolls
2.) Kory brought dirt as his White Elephant gift. Yes, you read that correctly...he brought dirt.
3.) We almost threw Kory in the lake (not really, though) and Kara was about to get really mad at Pastor Kevin. Really...she almost punched him in the mouth.
4.) Someone (who shall remain nameless) brought the Special Edition DVD of Borat to the gift exchange. Pastor Kevin finagled his way into getting the gift for himself and has immediately put it up for auction on Ebay.
5.) Did we mention that Kory brought dirt?
6.) We played Big Booty and Chelsey Smith was an absolute maniac for Big Booty!
Well, these are just a few of the great memories we have from the Christmas party. I'll post pictures ASAP to this page and you can see all the fun we had!
Re:Vive :: Disciple Now 08 :: Nov. 21st-Nov. 23rd ($25)
Re:Vive was an absolutely amazing weekend! Check out the blog to read all about it!
Laser Tag Lock-In! Friday, Oct. 31st (Halloween Night) Midnight-7am
Cost: $30 per person
A recent favorite of Re:Generation Student Ministry, Laser Tag is like paintball without the pain! On Halloween night, we get Laser Quest all to ourselves...for 7 straight hours! For $30, you can laser tag til you just can't laser tag any more. Capture the Flag...Everyman for Himself...Guys Vs. Girls...Team Games...you name it, we're going to do it.
The party starts at Pastor Kevin's house, where we will start video games on the big screen at 8pm. Crystal will be making her famous chilli and maybe even her famouser rotel dip with sausage. At 11:30, we'll haul it over to Laser Quest (one mile from Pastor Kevin's) for an exhausting but unforgettable lock-in. Remember: Register at the 705 or in a Re:Generation Small Group and bring your own snacks to the lock-in!
Hoops...Swimming...Pizza...Nap. Saturday, Sept. 27th
9am-12:30pm, Sheridan Hills Gym
Well...the ladies didn't swim because of the rain, and the guys hooped it up even with a volleyball net in the way, but it was a ton of fun! We sent the ladies off to have fun at Boomers while us guys got all sweaty on the court. Check out the photo gallery.
Rock the Universe 2008, September 5th and 6th
Okay, so this isn't an "upcoming" event...but it sure was fun. Me, Tim, and Jen got to hang out with 11 of our students at Universal Orlando as we checked out some of the best bands in Christian music and rode the best rides in the world! My personal favorite was Leeland...a-ma-zing. Check out the photo gallery.
